Absolutely loved the christmas special!!!! Loved it all the more when Aleisha was shown up against the other winners. She was the poorest by far on the christmas show and her early exit was great to see after the disaster of the final in the series. Darren Gough is what the winners of the show should be like. Completly untrained, no dance experience before and they learn to dance. He had natural talent (at this point I'd like to say I spotted this in his first show, placed a bet on him winning at 32 to 1 and won enough for a very good night out!) and lilia's teaching and coaching which allowed him to reach his potential.
Matt D'Angelo did brilliantly in his Showdance, it's much more difficult for a male celebrity without dance experience to do those complicated lifts than a professional. Unfortunately he didn't win because the public had already made up their minds beforehand but on a good day he was streets above Alesha and his performances were well above hers in the final. Her Cha Cha Cha and Jive were all over the place and her Showdance was not spectacular at all, she messed up the last lift. It's been won and lost on the last two years Showdances. Great shame that wasn't the case this year.
In the christmas special i thought Gethin and Camilla deserved to win. I'll be surprised if she continues in the series, having got so close yet so far from any trophy and wanting it so badly. Unfortunately their Waltz didn't have the same impact as the American Smooth by Darren & Lilia. Being on last did them a favour too.
Watched the christmas special, wow! Like Craig I'd forgotten how good Darren was, even though I voted for him when he won. So light on his feet for a big guy! Would have liked Gethlin to win after being robbed of being in the final but Darren and Lilia were pure class!!

Well argued. The "i'm right your wrong approach". Its a good job human nature allows for more open discussion than that. Who are you kidding anyway, you will be glued next year. No one who is that sore and bitter wouldn't watch next year. I hope Alehsa wins the xmas show just to underline how great she was. Saying you have drawn a line under it doesn't make you right. See you next year!

Your right about Flavia. When her and Matt are dancing it is Flavia you tend to watch whereas Alesha holds her own against Matthew. It will be interesting to see them up against Mark Ramprakash in the xmas special.
Cor blimey! :D Everybody is entitled to their opinion. Flavia is an absolutely fantastic dancer, I was watching her not Matt and that made him look better than he actually was, although he did a 'good job' as Len would say. Alesha is a very good amateur dancer and Matt Cutler showed her off with excellent choreography. Matt has nice arm movements, perhaps he should have danced upside down. Some of the watching public are professional dancers........................Alesha is the better dancer and consistently gave better performances. In my humble opinion. Looking forward to the Xmas show. Brucie is to be knighted - quite right too!

Excuse me, why don't you concentrate less on grammar, what are you, an english teacher? You are obviously extremely pompous and you don't really answer any of the arguments I made except the lifts. You don't deny that Matt shouldn't have been there in the first place. You don't deny what I said about Matt, Flavia and Vincent. You don't deny that what happened with Gethin turned the public against Matt. When you come up with a better answer I may take what you say seriously. I was always a fan of Alesha over Matt but at least i'm open minded enough to recognise how good his showdance was. But consistantly over 12 weeks Alesha deserved it and the public recognised that. By the way you can suck on anything it doesn't matter how it tastes, it's a play on words but you should know that being a professor of pointless coments about grammar.
Very badly written, please proof read before you press "send". Grapes can be sweet like wine. Gabby or Penny should have been in the final instead of Gethin.The public did not get it right just as they didn't with Tony B liar.

If you a so hell bent on fairness, Matt should have gone the week he forgot his routines. He got through purely on sympathy. He shouldn't have even been in the final and what happened with gethin turned the public against him. You forgot to mention that. Everyone knows it, why do you think Len (biased old fool) kept saying "you deserve to be here Matt". I actually agree that on the night Matt showdance was better, however Alesha did much more actual dancing whereas Matt just had to throw Flavia around.
I too like Flavia, but Matt is possibly the most annoying person on the plant. On the other hand both of them have been out of order with the flirting, and there was an awkward moment in the final when Tess asked them "are you going to see each other". I think Vincent is an idiot but no one deserves to be treated like that. Maybe Flavia should have told Matt to back off. Anyway keep sucking on those sour grapes. The public overall got it right.

The final was indeed a mockery of justice. The whole show has lost credibility and I cite Chris Parker, Claire Sweeney, Julian Clary, Gabby, Penny and now Matt. I send my commiserations to Zoe, Louisa and now Matt who should have been winners. There is no merit in holding up that trophy. Human judges are not infallible. Alesha never bewitched me or those of us who can think and assess outside the box.
The Showdance should have been performed at the beginning, not the end of the show to enable more time for votes. FLAVIA - YOU ARE A GENIUS AND I'M SO DISAPPOINTED THE PUBLIC DIDN'T RECOGNISE THAT. YOUR SHOWDANCE SHOULD BE RIGHT UP THERE AS ONE OF LIFE'S CLASSICS ALONG WITH TORVIL & DEAN'S BOLERO. Darren Gough won it on the Showdance because it was performed earlier and that should have been the case this year too.All credit to Matt, and no, not any celebrity could have pulled it off with you the way he did. IF THIS WAS A FAIR WORLD YOU WOULD HAVE WON. We still have your Showdance which will stand the test of time as your legacy to us. THANK YOU MATT AND FLAVIA.

went badly wrong. How could she win? Matt was composed throughout his
dances, his salsa was amazing and definately deserved higher marks!
Aleisha started well with her waltz (the easiest ballroom dance) but it
was downhill from there. She was all over the place in her cha cha and
jive. The side by side comparison in the judges choice and viennese
waltz showed clearly how much better Matt had become compared to
Aleisha.
I'm not saying it's a fix, I am saying the judges should be
prepared to comment more on the technique and even in the final need to
be critical. The public aren't trained dancers/choreographers they need
guidance on what to look for and how to vote. I felt that the judges
weren't prepared to critique the showdance when Aleisha had finished
after giving such good comments to Matt. I also feel they should have

Well done to Alesha, she was fab from the start eventhough Matts' showdance was fantastic, was clapping like a loony in front of the t.v!! I only wonder if Kelly could have given any of them a run for their money if she hadn't had to leave the show early. Love SCD cant wait for next year.

I definatly think Alesha deserved to win Matt was rubbish i sooo think Gethin deserved to be n the final instead of Matt! And Alesha had no dance exerience at all maybe she did a couple hip-hop routines but nothing like ballroom dancing!

Matt really should have been out when he messed up both of his dances a couple of weeks ago, so really i think Alesha defintaly deserved to win!...
I do have to say though that on the night Matt did pull it outta the bag and did some brilliant dances, as did Alesha! they were both excellent but i still think Alesha was the more deserving and rightful winner!
The final was brilliant, Alesha was fantastic and a worthy winner, I don't understand how she never got 4 - 10's somewhere in the series, it was a shame Len didn't agree last night and allow her that achievement. Still she achieved the ultimate,well done, the best dancer striclty has had in my opinion.
